Meet Danielle!

Danielle is an established salon owner of “Hare and Bristle” located in the beautiful Fingerlakes region of western New York. Danielle is a Goldwell colorist specializing in textured bobs, pixies and hair you can wear.

Danielle, the NJ native, has perfected the stylish (without looking styled), lived in haircut: sculpted, layered and totally low-maintenance. Top your new 'do with Danielle's signature fringy bangs and stand by for compliments from strangers. The fact that her cuts grow out ridiculously well means you won't have to lay eyes on the salon's (stylish decor) though we're betting you'll probably want to.

With 18 years experience in classic hairdressing Danielle is eager to learn the latest techniques in precision hair craft. Highly influenced by the Far East, Danielle travels to Japan twice a year to study beauty techniques. Danielle is proud to work alongside Japanese beauty college students and Naha award winning stylist Lisa Yamasaki.

Danielle uses Mizutani shears exclusively and takes classes in their Tokyo and Kyoto studio refining her haircutting skills. Danielle regularly attends classes on fine hair dressing, cutting, coloring, waving, smoothing, waxing, design and anything that pertains to hair and aesthetics and fashion. She excels in major transformations (with patience and trust in the process) do not be afraid to come with a whole vision - head to toe INCLUDING and not limited to your fashion goals! She lives for fashion, design, street style, punk looks, classic and retro style. Her approach to hair cutting is sculptural and experienced. No hair type, texture, density or project is too much for her.

When Danielle is not styling behind the chair she is home with her family and pets, traveling the world, performing in NYC or desiging for her clothing label Black Cat. Learn more about Danielle and her other artisitc endeavors here.

Meet Kay!

Kay is a passionate and talented stylist coming to us from another salon. After a solid year of training after beauty school, Kay comes to Hare and Bristle ready to make magic. Her color work is inspired and beautiful. Her haircuts are detail oriented. She takes her time to listen and help to achieve your style goals.

When Kay is not behind the chair she can be found crocheting, hanging at the lake with her friends and sweet pup Carmen.

We are so excited to see where she goes and to welcome her here at Hare and Bristle Salon this summer.
